Body Position System
The Body Position System (BPS) is an image-based, non-contact robotic guidance system for accurate positioning of car bodies. It measures the Reference Point (RPS) on the car body and transmits it to the robot to ensure alignment accuracy for automation applications. BPS is a state-of-the-art alternative to mechanical positioning devices, such as skid conveyors used in automotive production. This makes it possible to produce a wide range of vehicle models fully automatically on a single production line. Covers the entire field of view of the camera for maximum flexibility.
