Opening indicator
It is connected in series with the hydraulic circuit of a hydraulic actuator, indicating valve opening/closing and degree of opening based on the displaced oil volume. It is particularly widely used for remote centralized control of multiple loading valves on tankers, monitoring the opening and closing of water‑gate inlets and outlets in water‑management systems, and operating the cutterhead and slurry shield of tunnel‑boring machines.
